Foot Care Kingston offers Foot Care Nurse courses and workshops specially designed for nurses (RN’s, NP’s, RPN’s & LPN’s) new to foot care and for experienced foot care nurses who wish to update their knowledge and skills. Offered training and professional development opportunities are based on current Best Practice Guidelines and evidence-based practice, including the Canadian Association of Foot Care Nurses’ National Competencies for Advanced Nursing Foot Care in Canada( 2017).
Our expertise has been sought out to deliver customized training to post-secondary institutions, private organizations and government agencies across all levels. We are strongly invested in fostering networking and continuing education among foot care professionals and to meet this commitment, we regularly customize and upgrade our training and professional development offerings for today's busy Canadian nurses who require flexible and user-friendly continuing education options.
Foot Care Kingston's Director and owner, Cindy Lazenby, and her associates have recently published their second textbook - Art & Science of Foot Care: A Clinical Resource for Nurses in Canada (2017). This textbook is an Educator and student resource used for our Foot Care Nurse course as well as by multiple organizations across Canada delivering their own independent courses.
Foot Care Kingston is an approved education provider through the Nursing Education Initiative at the RPNAO/RNAO and the Department of Veteran's Affairs' (DVA) Blue Cross program for basic, advanced and diabetic foot care providers.
